For more than 25 years this company has been engaged in the automation of warehouses, particularly in the wholesale and mail-order trade. Today KNAPP employs a staff of about 300 and belongs to the leading companies in the field of computer-controlled automated order-picking systems.
Such systems are in use wherever different dispatch orders have to be composed of a variety of products within shortest time: at pharmaceutical wholesalers or mail-order houses, in distribution centres for spare parts a.s.o. Automatically, the transport totes will be steered through the warehouse and filled by autopickers, then they will be completed manually and sorted according to the various dispatch routes.
